The Milton Rooms

Main Hall

The main hall is used regularly for major touring theatre companies, music events or significant community events including an annual beer festival. It is a lovely space, with high ceilings and echoing the elegance of a bygone age, and we boast the largest sprung wooden dance floor in the North of England. Arranged in theatre style we can accommodate almost 300 people, or if you are looking for ‘cafe-style’ round tables, we can easily accommodate almost 250 people.

Assembly Room

A light and elegant space with high ceilings, restored wooden floor, period windows and mouldings, it is ideal for weddings, but has been used in the past for fashion sales and large scale meetings. The Assembly Rooms can accommodate up to 80 people.

Studio Bar

Our Studio Bar can be hired independently of the main hall and provides a cosy atmosphere, ideal for music, or spoken word events. It has modern state of the art music and lighting, installed recently, and a fully stocked bar. The Studio Bar can accommodate up to 35 people.
